The pikake — a fragrant white jasmine cherished across Hawaii, where I grew up — carries a small piece of home into this design. Its blossom shape is hand-formed in mother of pearl, rendered here in gold-filled wire with a delicate chain detail, paired with rose quartz and morganite.

Mother of pearl carries a long association with purity and calm, a gentle counterpart to rose quartz and morganite's warmth and emotional ease — together, a fitting match for a flower that's always meant comfort and welcome to me.
